Anhui University of Technology occupies a total space of approximately 20km2 and possesses over 1,800,000 books (e-books also included) in its library. In the university, there are 25,000 studying scholars and 3,000 working faculties. Anhui University of Technology is composed of 18 colleges and has Resources and Metallurgy, engineering and sciences of materials, Chemistry, City planning, Construction, Information management and electronics, liberal arts, legislation, Mathematics, physics and languages, education of postgraduates, education of Adults, skill sciences, 45 undergraduate’s degree schemes, 5 double undergraduate’s degree schemes, 35 master level schemes, and 3 double schemes for master levels.
For 20 years, the university has been training cooperatively doctorates with famous universities from abroad. It began to recruit oversea students, which come from all parts of the world, in 2000. Anhui University of Technology operates 15 ministerial level laboratories and R&D stations. During the last three years, the university has achieved more than 50 advances at the level of state and province, 32 patents and 5000 academical works (papers) printed, over 500 of them were warmly welcomed by SCI. In 2005, it was winner of the awards “Excellent Grade” in virtue of its training schemes quality.
