Southwest University
Southwest University is well-known university in china, and one of the principal universities with the control of the agency pedagogics of the government. In June 2004, it was re-founded after the amalgamation of Southwest Normal and Southwest agronomy universities in virtue of the authorization of the agency pedagogics. This university is positioned near the Jialing’s river, and lays near the Mount Jinun, which is full of great natural sceneries in the district of Beibei, Chongqing.

History
As we say above, the history of University dates back to two universities: Southwest Normal – complete university that was managed by the MOE (Ministry of Education) and formally known as Southwest Masters high school, which was founded by the joining Masters high school of women and Sichan high school in 1952. Its name was changed to “Southwest normal university” in 1980. Southwest Agronomy University – was built in 1953 by the amalgamation of three schools and educational public sectors: Sichan, high school of the west and the school of Xianhui, was formally known as “Southwest Agronomy high school”. In 1975, it was permitted to carry on its training as a university and with the name “Southwest Agronomy University”. Two of these universities were neighbours those built parallel and walls only separated them from each other. Each of them had a rich history that started from the high school of Sichan in 1905, until they were joined as Southwest University.
Disciplines of Southwest Agronomy and Normal universities
After the foundation, Southwest Agronomy and normal universities together have grown varied 250,000 graduates. As being based on long termly development and construction, these universities have reformed their specialties of masters and agronomy. They paid attention to not only the amount of the disciplines, but the quality of the subjects, particularly psychology, pedagogy, agronomy, etc. They have really benefited from the projects of the bank genes of silkworms, ethnic disciplines, exploration on psychology, and much more innovations and advances, which became very popular in china and, even in abroad.
