Scholarships of Silk Road program – One Belt One Road

Students from other countries, who want to study bachelor’s, master’s or P.h.D. degrees, can also apply for the “One Belt One Road” scholarship. Students from South of Asia, Africa and Europe, which governments located on the old Slik Road only, can enroll for that scholarship.
University of Chinese Academy of Sciences
“One Belt One Road” scholarship works in collaboration with the China Academy of Science (CAS) and provides quotas for studying in China.
It provides funding opportunities for about 120 students for counties, located along Silk Road and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road (Belt and Road). With the aid of that scholarship, students can receive master’s degree in the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
What covers the given quota?
- Tuition fee in UCAS
- Monthly stipend, accommodation, transportation fees, health insurance and other fees(certificate: 4.000RMB/month)
Duration
The funding for scholarship – 3 years or less (without the extension):
- Maximum 1 year for studying the Chinese language on faundation programs in UCAS, including 4 months of the Chinese language and culture;
- Practical study and completion of graduation piece in colleges of UCAS or CAS.
General requirements
- Nationality: countries of Belt and Road, except China;
- Good in health, age at least 30 years;
- Have a bachelor’s degree;
- Excellent academic performance, interested in scientific researches and good personal qualities;
- Be approved by receiving leader and department of UCAS/CAS institute;
- Have a great knowledge of English or the Chinese language.
Candidates should provide the results of TOEFL or IELTS. TOEFL scores: 90 or higher, IELTS scores: at least 6,5. No need for TOEFL or IELTS if:
- English is your native language;
- Main courses of bachelor’s degree were in English/Chinese language;
- HSK Band 5 with more than 200 scores.
Sichuan University
Sichuan University provides the Silk Road Scholarship “One Belt One Road” for bachelor’s, master’s and P.h.D. degrees. Students from countries, located along Silk Road and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road (Belt and Road).

Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarship
The Jiangsu Provincial Government provides – “Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarship” for foreign students. The main goals:
- Contribute to the development of higher education of international students in the province Jiangsu;
- Highlight the brand of “Studying in Jiangsu”;
- Make this province one of the most suitable for overseas students.

This scholarship is provided for the excellent foreign students, who are going to study in the best universities and colleges in Jiangsu province.
Requirenmnets
- The candidate should not be a Chinese citizen with good health.
- Level of ended education and age limit:
- The candidates who want to study in a college or on the Bachelor’s program should have a diploma from High School with good marks and age under 30 years.
- In the Master’s program should have a finished Bachelor’s degree and age under 35 years.
- In the P.h.D. program should have a finished Mater’s degree and age under 40 years.
- Students should respect the laws of China and meet the requirements to enter universities or colleges.
- The candidates should have good academic performance.
- The candidates can not apply for scholarships in case they have other quotas supported by the Chinese Government or Chinese companies.
Full Scholarship
- Fees: tuition, registration, laboratory experiments, internships and basic studying materials.
The student should pay for extra expenses for laboratory experiments and studying materials - The cost of the books and other studying materials except basics should be covered by the student.
- Free accommodation in the dormitory on campus or living allowance at the rate of 10.000 yuans per year.
- Monthly stipend is 1.500 yuans
Scholarship recipients, who have registered before the 15th of the registration month (15th is included), will receive a full stipend and living allowance in that month. Otherwise, they will receive only half of a stipend and living allowance. - Comprehensive health insurance system for all international students studying in China
