NUISЕ opened intake in general 250 seat scholarships for international students (no country restrictions) including:
- Chinese government scholarships – free education, free accommodation, free medical insurance, monthly funding from the university (3000 RMB monthly for masters )
- Jasmin province scholarships – free education, free accommodation, free medical insurance, fundamental books, monthly funding from the university (1500 RMB monthly)
- Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology rector scholarship, – covers only education fee.
There are both more 1 200 international (mostly from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan) and 30 000 local students in NUIST, the quantity of countries from which international students arrived is 27. INFRASTRUCTURE
An area of the higher education institution’s campus is 140 hectares. There are educational buildings, laboratories, a world library, hostels for foreign students, basketball courts, football fields, many trees and gardens on campus. The campus is fenced from 4 sides, and also has its own security points.
ACCOMMODATION
A separate hostel of hotel type for international students, where there is everything: a bed, a desk, a closet, a bathroom, and also there is a kitchen, a fridge, a microwave, a washing machine on the floor. The room has access to the internet. Also there is a concierge, which can be accessed in case of problems. From the hostel you can reach the academic buildings in 5-10 minutes, which saves time, and living with classmates is very fun and useful, you can train together in pronunciation of words, communicate with other foreigners in English, prepare different national food together and ask for help in if necessary.
CURATORS
On campus you can ask a help from The International Student Support Office which supports (international) students on all matters of residence and study in China (from arrival and extension of visas to tracking your progress).
FOOD
Student cafes which are located on campus suggest different sort of meals, so every visitor will find a dish for himself. There are 5 canteens in the Institute, where there is unique kind of Chinese cuisine, Muslim cuisine, a fast food network, etc..
SPORT
Students can do some sport on the campus, for instance – football field, basketball, volleyball courts, big and small tennis, a gym. Moreover, everyone has a free access to sport activities. So if you want, you can practice your favorite sport, create your own football team, or simply maintain your health and form, and absolutely free of charge.
