Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine
SH.U.T.C.M, very early found in 1957. That time, there were only three T.C.M universities opened. Its present name was given in 1992. Professor Wyu Je Pin left an indelible “mark” in its history as a director. It has an arena of 9 km2 which, day-by-day getting developed with modern techniques and methods to aim to be dominant in the “medicines”.

University in numbers
SH.U.T.C.M cultivated over multinational 130,000 elites to society in the last 60 years. It has also a big faculty of 600 teachers and 350 PhDs. Among them, seven are head physicians, 10 awarded by “100 elites” and so on. Thanks to the government for opening a wide way to use modern technologies and programmes in all fields. In 2007, SH.U.T.C.M was number one in China and got a good reputation in the world.
SH.U.T.C.M has 20 high-level schools, eight inquiry buildings to practice to treat people and much more. In 1990, Institution of Chinese-old-fashioned pharmacy was established by Mrs. Zhin-bu once in history.
At present, about 11,000 scholars are improving their knowledge here. 3000 of them are high-levels, 6000s junior-levels and others are the students of grown-up science.
SH.U.T.C.M offers two doctoral programmes for the 1st form-students:
1. Local mediation and pharmacy
2. Oversea and Motherland Natural drugs and herbs
